Our litigation team is a creative and innovative group of strategic problem solvers who possess the skills and acumen to counsel our clients in various aspects of their business and to negotiate favorable outcomes for the myriad of problems our clients encounter. Our team specializes in defending corporations and individuals in various civil matters, including labor and employment law, ERISA litigation, personal injury and premise liability actions, products liability, condemnation, and real estate litigation. We are also a full service commercial litigation group. Our team prides itself on its preparation, planning, and partnership with its clients. Our success stems from our commitment to excellence, our willingness to invest the necessary time to fully understand our client's business, and our ability to see the big picture while simultaneously paying attention to every detail. Every member of the team has substantial court room experience, ranging from motion practice to trial. Every senior attorney has first chair trial experience and has been lead counsel in numerous high exposure cases. Every associate has second chair trial experience and has assisted in high exposure cases. All attorneys have significant ADR experience, and several attorneys frequently serve as private arbitrators or facilitators through AAA or private selection.
Our attorneys also have expertise in administrative law and have represented clients in this specialized area of law. Our team has the ability to protect its clients' victories at trial or in motions with its appellate expertise, which includes significant wins in the Michigan Supreme Court, the Michigan Court of Appeals, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Several of our attorneys are former law clerks for Michigan Supreme Court justices and federal district court judges, and those clerkship experiences provide unique insight into the intricacies of appellate practice and the realities of motion practice at the trial court. Several of our attorneys are former in-house counsel, and those experiences provide a unique perspective on the needs of in-house counsel. Our group strives to keep up with current legal trends and issues through our commitment to ongoing legal education, as reflected in our internal bi-weekly seminars, and our seminar materials are available to each client to assist in its own internal training and education.
